Ladies’ Target League

GHST Ladies’ Target League

This league is a 10 week handgun Lewis league using half-size silhouette targets. Any handgun cartridge up to .45 cal is allowed. Iron, optical or holographic/dot electronic sights allowed. No laser (target painting) sights allowed.

The League shoots on Thursday evenings at 5:00PM. The 2024 League is still organizing.  Contact RO for start date.

A Range Officer controls the course of fire and also ensures safety rules are enforced. All firearms must be inspected by the Range Officer at the firing line.

Multiple target sets may be shot on league nights allowing shooters to either catch up on missed weeks or to shoot ahead. Shooters also have the option of shooting an additional target set during the 10 week run to replace their worst target set.

In the event of a firearm or ammunition malfunction, shooters are allowed one alibi in the first five targets of a set. Alibis are not allowed on the sixth target. A shooter may either choose to accept the alibi and reshoot that target with the penalty of loosing as many high shots as they took before the malfunction or they may reject the alibi and keep the current target’s score.

The 2024 Ladies’ League fees are expected to be $5.00 for registration and $15.00 for target sets.

A banquet is held after the end of the league to award the trophies and door prizes. Shooters are broken in to classes by score. Smaller leagues will only have a first and second place trophy award. Larger leagues will divide the shooters into classes and trophies are awarded to the first and second place shooters of each class. The number of classes is dependent on the number of participants in the league. There is also an award/notation for the shooter with the most X’s and an award for the most improved shooter.

Course Of Fire:

Target 1 – 15 seconds to shoot 6 rounds at the 10′ target using the master hand.
Target 2 – 10 seconds to shoot 6 rounds at the 10′ target using both hands.
Target 3 – 15 seconds to shoot 6 rounds at the 21′ target using both hands.
Target 4 – 20 seconds to shoot 6 rounds at the 21′ target using a supported weak hand.
Target 5 – 20 seconds to shoot 6 rounds at the 50′ target using both hands.
Target 6 – 30 seconds to shoot 12 rounds at the 21′ target using both hands. This round has a mandatory reload.
